Funding The trust gives £300,000 each year in about 50 grants.
Funder This organisation is the result of a merger between The Yapp Welfare Trust and The Yapp Education and Research Trust. The trusts were set up in the will of William Johnston Yapp, who died in 1946. The scheme awards grants to small charities in England and Wales to help sustain their work. Trustees meet three times a year to consider applications. The next meeting is 30 September.
Aim Grants are given in a number of areas, including to sustain existing work with children and young people aged between five and 25, and to sustain small charities' work around education and learning. To be funded, work must have been in place for at least a year.
