Girls on the Move

Grants for organisations supporting young women to become physically active and improve both their physical wellbeing and their self-esteem

Funding Grants of up to £2,000

Funder The programme has been put together by The Robertson Trust, Scottish Sports Association and Scotland's Healthy Living campaign.

Aim The programme is designed to support more young women to become physically active and improve both their physical wellbeing and their self-esteem. There are two strands - the Participation programme for young women aged nine to 18 and the Leadership programme for those aged 16 to 25.

Who can apply? Recognised charitable organisations working in Scotland. Organisers say they expect the majority of applications to come from small local organisations such as youth clubs, Girl Guide groups, community centres, homelessness projects or support groups for young mums.
