The Outcomes First Group has “given 60 days’ notice” to staff over the closure of as many as 25 children’s homes, sector sources, including some close to employees in the firm, have told CYP Now.

A statement from Outcomes First Group said it is “seeking to redeploy colleagues from its stand-alone residential homes to residential homes settings linked to its schools, to ensure they can continue the great work they do with the children for which they care”.

“We will also be providing outplacement services, which aim to support employees find their next role,” the organisation added.

When asked how many children’s homes and staff members would be impacted by the changes, a spokesman said: “Discussions are currently underway, so we are unable to provide detail on the number of standalone residential homes and staff affected.”
