
Cambian, which is owned by umbrella company CareTech, confirmed it is “currently managing a cyber-incident after discovering unauthorised activity on our network”.
Authorities including the Information Commissioner’s Office, the National Cyber Security Centre and National Crime Agency have been informed of the incident, a spokesman said.
He added: “Our systems are now fully restored with minimal ongoing impact to the services we provide.
“We take our responsibility to protect the data we hold incredibly seriously. Working with third-party experts, our investigations into this incident are continuing.”
A source told CYP Now that the incident began on Tuesday (24 January) and said it had “impacted” the company's work around referrals and placement moves.
