Youth Work: Youth charity picks ex-MP as co-chair

King is a trustee of youth volunteering charity v. When she was MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, she floated a bill to make local authorities run youth services and set up partnerships to promote youth participation.

The review will be co-chaired by Lewisham's youth mayor Wilf Petherbridge.

Board members include Leon Feinstein, director of the Centre for Research on the Wider Benefits of Learning at the Institute of Education.

The appointment of a co-chair was delayed when original target Ed Miliband was made a junior minister in the recent cabinet reshuffle (YPN, 10-16 May, p4).
