The 12-month review covers young people aged 11 to 18, principally 11- to 16-year-olds. It will consist of youth forums, UK and international research, specialist seminars, written and verbal submissions, regional events and review meetings.
Oona King, co-chair of the review and former Labour MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, said: "My primary interest in getting involved with the review is to campaign for more services for young people."
Initial review research suggests only 61 per year per 11- to 16-year-old is spent on statutory youth services.
