The 30 part-time and seven full-time workers will remain until next March to deliver 32 council-run youth projects, while the authority draws up plans for the next three to five years. Northamptonshire County Council made 78 full- and part-time youth workers redundant earlier this year after a reduction of the county's youth service budget from 3.8m to 1.3m.
A fully commissioned youth service for the county will operate from April next year.
