The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) events are based around England's nine regional government offices. They will bring local authorities together to look at progress on developing targeted work for at-risk young people.
The events will build on learning from a recent Department for Education and Skills guide to targeted youth support (YPN, 4-11 April, p3).
Wayne Sumner, professional lead for targeted youth support at the TDA, said: "The guide really picked up the work that we were already doing with the pathfinder authorities."
The first events have been held in London and the West Midlands, with a further 10 events planned during April and May. www.tda.gov.uk.
