The service reforms are likely to be approved by councillors on 19 April, and are designed to give young people a greater say in activities and lead to an increase in the use of dedicated youth centres in the area.
Ian Marshall, head of the youth service, said: "We are looking to restructure the service after reviewing it in light of Transforming Youth Work. Young people should see the development of a number of fit- for-purpose centres in which there are trained staff and proper resources to deliver a personal and social development curriculum. We will be addressing these issues more coherently than before."
