Sarah Campbell died in Styal prison in January 2003 after taking an overdose.
She was placed in segregation despite learning difficulties and being a heroin addict with a history of self-harm.
Sarah's mother Pauline Campbell, who has been lobbying for nearly four years, received a letter from the Home Office admitting liability for breach of Campbell's human rights. She received a five figure out-of-court settlement.
