Youth Justice: Government launches latest antisocial behaviour drive

In his foreword to the report, the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, says the plan recognises that, as well as enforcement, we have to focus on the causes of antisocial behaviour, which lie in families, in the classroom and in communities.

Among the proposals in the plan is a community call to action, where local people will be given the power to force the police or local authority to deal with antisocial behaviour.

The Government also intends to set up a National Parenting Academy where parenting professionals and others who work with families, including youth justice workers, could study to improve their practice.
