Youth Justice News: Antisocial behaviour - Government plans attractcriticism

Ideas in the Home Office consultation, Strengthening Powers to Tackle Antisocial Behaviour, include giving police powers to issue behaviour restrictions and fining the families of delinquents.

Paul Cavadino, chief executive of crime-reduction charity Nacro, said criminal penalties should only be used after voluntary and co-operative methods such as acceptable behaviour contracts have failed.
