The youth green paper should set up rapid response teams to help young people, the head of youth charity Rainer has said.
Speaking at the Turning Young People Away from Crime event in London last week, Rainer chief executive Joyce Moseley said the much-delayed policy document should include proposals for "rapid action, multidisciplinary teams geared up to deal with young people's needs".
Moseley said these teams would be based in children's trusts but designed to work closely with young people.
The teams would refer young people to specialist services as and when required.
