Youth boards: Question Time

The DfES has set up a youth board so young people get a say in government policies that affect them. Graham Readfearn talks to a diverse group of young people in order to find out what they think about four key youth issues

Liam moved to England from South Africa when he was 12 and was living on the streets for more than four years before he moved into the YMCA hostel in Mansfield.

DANIEL WALLACE 17, EAST DULWICH, LONDON

Daniel is receiving support from young people's charity Rainer. As well as helping him to live on his own, Daniel gets support from Rainer to access basic skills classes.

JOHN SPAFFORD 16, WIGAN

John lives on his own but also gets help, support and advice from Rainer. He is currently on a basic skills training course to give him employability skills and hopes to move on to a motor mechanics course soon.
