Your shout: What young people think about ... diversity

1 min read

NIAMH QUILLE, 16, COVENTRY - "Diversity is an issue people are afraid of. There is the usual kind of scapegoats used by the media, such as asylum seekers. This creates a tension between different races and people are afraid of talking about it because it can offend other people"

SCARLETT BROWN, 17, WALES - "Without diversity you can't make anything work. We have to understand we are different and celebrate this. The differences between people and cultures are positive and should not be looked at negatively. We need to get over our differences and accept that we are diverse"
