"Crime can affect us all. Saying 'the police should do more' or 'we need to build more prisons' is not the answer. Issues such as unemployment, the gulf between those living in poverty (even in the UK) and the extremely wealthy need to be tackled to solve the whole issue of crime"

"In my area, young people do not feel safe walking home. There is only one youth club and it shuts at 9pm, but buses stop at 8pm. You end up walking home in the dark and get targeted. Young people are scared of crime. There are real threats by gangs who don't go to school"
