Your shout: What young people think about ... abortion

1 min read

Fiona MacDonald, 16, Hampshire - "I think the 24-week time period is just right, but there should be more information about abortion at schools, to make it easier for young people to get information about it. Schools don't tell you what the real details are"

Emily Finn, 18, Milton Keynes - "I know that some of my peers treat abortion as a form of contraception, even the really young ones at 15. They think it doesn't matter if you get pregnant because you can just have an abortion. But it's a big decision and I don't think young people think hard enough about the after-effects - you need counselling afterwards. Schools should emphasise the impact of abortion but in my school it was never raised" - We want to hear from young people.
