Ankur Gupta, 20, Newcastle - "I am against faith schools because I believe they lead to segregation and a fostering of attitudes that are not compatible with community cohesion. The children in these schools don't get exposure to different people or viewpoints and can become isolated"

Richyal Rana, 15, Birmingham - "My view is that faith schools should not exist. They are biased and always will be. I believe democracy says nothing should be biased, least of all schools. I see no harm in multi-faith schools, as they give a more varied perspective and that is what young people should have"
