Your shout: What young people think about ... eating disorders

1 min read

Callemore Golding, 17, south London - "TV is to blame for eating disorders, especially programmes such as America's Next Top Model. People will do anything to get a figure like that, and boys are affected too. It's also down to peer pressure and maybe mental health problems. A lot of young people also eat too much because they are unhappy"

Elizabeth Williams, 22, Reading - "Eating disorders are mental health disorders and are deeper than a desire to be thin or be fussy about food. Unless you have suffered from it, it is difficult to understand the constant battle people go through every day. More education also needs to be given about healthy diets" - We want to hear from young people.
