The Education and Training for Young People in the Youth Justice System- A Consultation document says problems such as identifying if youngoffenders have special educational needs must be addressed.
It asks for opinions on how to develop the youth justice workforce toimprove the education of offenders, how best to raise standards, and howthe curriculum can be tailored to better meet young people's needs.
The consultation ends on 4 July. The resulting plans will be publishedlater this year.
