YOT management board guidance online consultation

1 min read Youth Justice
The Youth Justice Board is consulting members of Youth Offending Team (YOT) management boards across England and Wales as part of an update of its performance guidance.

The current document, Sustaining the Success, details key factors that produce high-performing YOTs and covers changes to the environment in which teams work.

Since the publication of Sustaining the Success in 2004, changes to the context surrounding YOT partnerships has meant it now needs to be revised to remain relevant and to support local partnership working. The online survey takes 15 minutes to complete and responses are anonymous. Respondents' answers can be saved, allowing the questionnaire to be completed in stages. The survey gauges attitudes to a range of issues including whether YOT boards should be equally accountable to children's trusts and community safety partnerships and if they should ensure that they receive the recommendations of serious case reviews concerning young people known to their YOT.
