Describe a typical day. No such thing. I train about three days a weekand to different audiences - from two-day playwork basics courses to14-day playwork management courses. When I am not training I'll bedealing with essential paperwork, and conducting observations andassessments on NVQ candidates in their workplace.
What other agencies, and who else within your organisation, do you workwith? We have various partnerships bubbling away. I do a lot of childprotection training for schools.
How did you end up in this job? I started at Trojans as a volunteer 10years ago, just to help with photocopying. I had a retail managementbackground and was taking time out to consider my options. Trojans'training ethos is very strong and I was encouraged onto a Kids ClubNetwork course in Investing in Playwork and found the subjectfascinating on many levels. Soon I was a centre manager of anafter-school club and later became the personnel manager before movinginto training.
