WORKPLACE: Who's in your meetings? - Liz Cameron, City of Salford Community and Social Services

1 min read
What exactly do you do?

I'm principal officer for listening to children and young people. I enable their views to be heard by service providers and ensure they are incorporated into service delivery and planning, provision and monitoring of care.

Describe a typical day?

A typical day is probably taken up with strategic meetings, trying to get children and young people looked after on the wider agenda.

What other agencies and who else within your own organisation do you have to work with?

I work with statutory services, the voluntary sector, health, education, community groups, leisure and youth offending teams. In my own organisation I work with directors, heads of service and senior managers within children's services.
