Describe a typical day. Typical tasks are attending the advocacy meeting, meeting an 18-year-old who has moved to a new place but is not receiving the right support, visiting a 16-year-old and discussing her review, updating files, calling social services, and starting on an information bulletin for advocates.
What other agencies, and who else within your own organisation, do you work with? Generally we work with social services when advocating for children and young people. I am particularly involved with organisations that support and campaign for young refugees. I have contacts with the Refugee Council's children's panel, Save the Children, and the Children's Society.
