Workforce development: Strategy to help youth workers buildcareers

1 min read

The workforce training and development strategy is designed to help youth support workers in the capital advance their careers, and move into related professions.

It has been produced by the regional youth work unit - Partnership for Young London - and the Children's Workforce Development Council, which has put 30,000 into developing the plan.

The strategy outlines six aims to improve standards. These include developing and maintaining joint training and workforce development initiatives across London, a centralised web-based London Training Directory and a London Training Network for the youth support sector. Partnership for Young London will also represent the youth support sector on training and development issues.
