The Ypower project, which will be used by the London boroughs of Croydon, Richmond, Tower Hamlets and Westminster, has received 30,000 from the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC)'s Occupational Group stream, which focuses on developing innovative workforce solutions. It is being jointly led by the CWDC and regional youth work unit Partnership for Young London.
BT will provide an internet-based learning infrastructure, which will be shared across the local authorities. This will enable all professionals working with young people to access a wide range of training and development courses using both online and classroom learning. The system will also enable users to log their progress and access workforce development tools.
