An initiative in Hackney to improve antenatal care has helped improve breastfeeding and cut hospital re-admissions. Just one baby under 28 days old has been re-admitted to hospital this year, compared with 12 the previous year.
Around two-thirds of domestic abuse victims in Surrey may not be accessing outreach support services, according to the area's Domestic Abuse Outreach Report. The study found that outreach workers handle only 210 new cases each month, while the police deal with around 600 incidents.
