- Children's minister Beverley Hughes has announced £11.7m will be provided over the next three years to fund parenting practitioners in 77 areas. It will help families with children at risk of antisocial behaviour.
- The Big Lottery Fund has awarded £23.5m for the creation of outdoor spaces for East Belfast residents. The project includes play and exercise facilities for young people.
- Homeless young people are benefiting from a £70m expansion of the government's homelessness reduction scheme. One of the projects included helps hostel residents sell fruit and vegetables to local restaurants.
