Forty young people from across Wiltshire uploaded their blogs, comments and videos to a dedicated website as part of the Day in the Life of a Wiltshire Young Person initiative, which started at 12 noon on 14 May.
Unemployed young people, a teenage mum and disabled young people were among those who contributed. More than 1,200 items were uploaded in a 24-hour period and the site was viewed by 1,700 people.
David Whewell, head of youth development for Wiltshire Council, said: "It was a great way to show that social media does not have to be expensive. All the software used was entirely free."
