WALES: Youth Agency sees acting chief step in

John Rose, currently deputy chief executive, will take on the role until April.

Rose said: "The Wales Youth Agency is concerned with raising the profile of youth services and its role in non-formal community education. Our major concerns include strengthening the infrastructure, improving qualifications and training for staff and bringing buildings up to scratch."

The board of the agency will be starting a recruitment drive for the new chief executive but Rose will not be applying.
