Wales: Minister calls for workers in schools

Jane Davidson said she wants to develop the idea of "learning coaches" who support young people within formal education.

The Welsh Assembly Government has committed 3m to developing community-focused schools over three years, and is looking for schools to run pilot schemes. Davidson said schemes with a youth work dimension would be particularly welcome.
