Volunteering: Prince's Trust head to run framework

Terry Ryall, divisional director of The Prince's Trust, has been named chief executive of the charity set up to put the Russell Commission's recommendations into practice.

From April, she will work alongside Ian Russell, the charity board's chairman Rod Aldridge and an advisory board of 20 16- to 24-year-olds.

Ian Russell is set to leave his current job as chief executive of Scottish-Power next week.

Ryall said: "This new organisation has the potential to make a difference to young people's volunteering. I am confident that with the blend of public, private, voluntary and community sectors that are already committed, this potential will be achieved."
