The team of volunteers from across the UK slept and worked in the cathedral grounds as part of volunteering charity CSV's Cathedral Camps initiative. Tasks included repainting railings, oiling woodwork and polishing antiques. Their contribution has helped save the cathedral thousands of pounds in maintenance costs.
Arnie Wickens, assistant director of CSV, said: "Cathedral Camps demonstrate the positive impact young people make in helping to protect our architectural heritage."
