The Vinspired scheme gives young people the chance to develop skills and improve their CVs through volunteering in their communities. Several high-profile business people including James Caan, Lastminute.com's founder Martha Lane Fox and Birmingham City FC's Karren Brady are also supporting the scheme.
Bashy showed his support for the Vinspired award scheme at an MCing event in conjunction with the V EastEnd Youth Action Team last month.
"I wish the scheme was about when I was in school because I'd have been involved straight away," he said.
