The forum requires around 120,000 core funding a year to run its projects, which include music workshops, peer-led mentoring projects and a youth council for 16- to 25-year-olds. So far this year 30 of its 33 applications for funding have been turned down.
Si Price, project worker at the volunteer-run forum, said: "Changes to lottery funding meant that elderly and disabled people have replaced young people as a priority, which is going to jeopardise our core funding."
Jobs will go on 31 December if funding is not secured.
