The National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) is going to introduce three new electoral colleges, the bodies that elect trustees to the board to represent specific interests.
Two colleges representing sport and physical activity and infrastructure development come into effect straight away, while a social enterprise college will launch in 2007. They replace geographically based colleges focusing on local, regional and national voluntary networks.
The organisation also plans to vote in a new chair after Ravi Gurumurthy stepped down as chair of the board of trustees last week. Simon Antrobus, chief executive of Clubs for Young People, will replace John Bateman, chief executive of UK Youth, as vice-chair.
