Analysis: Policy - Voluntary Sector - Groups discuss workingtogether

4 mins read

Over the next year, two of Britain's largest voluntary youth club membership organisations, Clubs for Young People (CYP) and UK Youth, will be consulting their extensive networks of clubs on whether to work closely together or even merge at the national level (YPN, 20-26 September, p3).

At county level, around 13 mergers between organisations that were affiliated to either CYP or UK Youth have already taken place since the early 1990s. CYP and UK Youth have also worked closely on initiatives such as Youth Active, run by the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services, of which both are members.
