Uniformed youth: Jewish brigade aims to expand

Neil Martin, chief executive, said: "We have been going for 112 years. Thousands of adults have gone through the brigade and we want some to come back and set up new groups. In Manchester, we currently have about 100 young people, but it should be more as the Jewish community there is 30,000 strong."

The Brigade is currently gearing up for its annual awards parade on 1 July.
