It plans to use part of its £340,000 allocation from the Department for Children, Schools and Families to set up two new groups, including an all-boys unit in Ilford to complement its all-girls group for 11- to 18-year-olds.
In addition, two groups in Southend, which have been closed for the past two years, will re-open after Easter.
Neil Martin, chief executive of JLGB, said: "We are trying to give young people the life skills they need to become future leaders of both the Jewish and wider community."
He explained the brigade was focused on making programmes more relevant for young people and said south London, Leeds and Liverpool were next on the list for expansion. The organisation has already increased its presence in Manchester, London and Hertfordshire.
