Sir Alan boosts Jewish Brigade

The Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade has been inundated with calls after being name-checked by Sir Alan Sugar on BBC TV's The Apprentice.

Just before firing contestant Ben Clarke last month, Sir Alan delivered the line: "Don't start banging on about bloody Sandhurst again. I was a trainee bugler in the Jewish Lads' Brigade, Stamford Hill Division."

As well as phone calls, the brigade has received a large number of Facebook and Twitter messages from members of the public, as well as former members keen to learn more about Sir Alan's time in the youth group.
