Uniformed Groups: Boys' Brigade scheme to support volunteers

1 min read

The Company Support Scheme will be piloted across the UK and will help identify what support the uniformed youth organisation's volunteers need.

The Boys' Brigade will use a "cascade" approach, where two or three key volunteers in each region will be recruited to spread the scheme to regional companies and local brigades.

Martin Waters, director of programmes at the Boys' Brigade, said: "The key volunteers in each area are there to help ailing local groups improve the quality of local provision." Company Support Scheme pilots will operate in 13 areas including Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Kent, Leicester, Liverpool, Plymouth, south Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
