Uniformed youth groups: Ambulance service to stage assembly

The assembly, which will take place at Nottingham University on the weekend of 21-23 July, will include a motivational speaker, elections for the youth "lead team" that will run next year's assembly, and workshops on communication, participation, funding and anti-bullying.

Two young people from each county have been invited to attend as representatives at the assembly, and it is expected that about 100 young people aged 14 to 25 will attend.

Wendy Human, St John Ambulance youth development manager, said: "Young people should have a say."
