Young people from 32 areas of Scotland are to be tutored on how to write news and features on local issues and events for use on the Young Scot web site.
Young Scot is backing the DialogueYouth initiative with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and the Scottish Executive's modernising government initiative.
The training scheme, which will begin in March, will call all graduates Hack Packs.
It is hoped that content on the site will create debate among its young visitors and make them more aware of services within their communities.
