The Aberlour National Parenting Development Project, funded by the Scottish Executive's Youth Crime Prevention Fund, aims to address parents' own problems.
Romy Langeland, chief executive of Aberlour, said: "The responsibility of being a parent is more difficult when that parent is battling with their own needs. Such parents want to do better."
Scotland's First Minister Jack McConnell launched the project.
