Training on offer for baby yoga

Early Years Health
Young children could soon be learning the lotus position thanks to a partnership between the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) and the Yoga4 Nurseries Programme.

Members of the NDNA are being offered a discount of more than 10 per cent to train staff to teach yoga.

The NDNA is offering a discount on two courses, one on practising yoga with babies and children aged up to two years, and the other on working with two- to five-year-olds.

Purnima Tanuku, chief executive of NDNA, said: "Yoga is a great way to ensure children have the energy for play, learning and fun."

The £225 courses are being offered at £195 to members.
