Nursery training in cyberspace

1 min read Early Years
The National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has launched a series of online training courses in response to feedback from children's professionals.

The seven courses cover areas that day nursery staff surveyed by the NDNA said they wanted support with, including working in partnership with parents, nutrition, and completing self-evaluation forms.

Also covered are Early Years Foundation Stage areas focusing on "enriching play and learning" for birth to two-year-olds and three- to five-year-olds.

The courses feature presentations, quizzes and workplace activities and are aimed at all professionals in early years settings, including those in children's centres and the extended schools agenda. They also include a final test and participants will receive a certificate for their portfolio if this is passed.

Online training organisation Virtual College has developed the courses for the NDNA and CPD UK, the certification service, has given its official endorsement that the courses conform to UK-wide continuous professional development guidelines.
