The Waterside Trust

1 min read
What is it? The Waterside Trust funds charities that are working to strengthen family relationships, enrich education and support church renewal. The trust also has its own programme to promote ethics among professionals. While the Catholic faith is central to its work, funding is also available to non-faith-based organisations.

Who can apply? Applications are welcomed from registered charities in England, Wales and Scotland. The trust puts a particular emphasis on organisations that have a proven model and want to expand. Funds may be sought not only for service delivery but also for the development of policy, advocacy and research.

What will it fund? The trust funds projects that aim to strengthen family relationships. This could include help for families with a member who is terminally ill or disabled, tackling social isolation by building networks, or improving family cohesion through drop-in centres and intensive family support. The trust also funds projects to support educational opportunities for disadvantaged people, with a particular interest in Catholic schools and social teaching.
