The National Youth Agency: YPDP to conduct assessment andevaluation of all 27 funded projects

1 min read

The YPDP team is preparing to visit and assess all 27 pilot projects, utilising a new system based on successful quality processes already used by The NYA's Department for Education and Skills-backed Neighbourhood Support Fund.

In the past six months, the YPDP training provision has been very positively evaluated by YPDP staff, and a new course for managers - Managing For The Long Term - starts this month. The aim of the course is to help projects develop and sustain their achievements to date.

The NYA is continuing to work closely with the Department of Health to get the best from the initiative. It will also provide input into two new - but related - strands of work aimed at creating standards for youth-friendly health services, and a new Adolescent Health Sites pilot scheme that the department has launched as part of a concerted programme of work with young people.
