THE NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY: youthinformation.com looksat ... e-learning

1 min read

Learning online can provide new and exciting opportunities for everyone particularly those outside formal education or those with special educational needs or disabilities.

The Department for Education and Skills is responsible for implementing an e-learning strategy. It has an important contribution to make to all the Government's objectives for education. These are: raising standards; improving quality; removing barriers to learning and participation in learning, preparing for employment; upskilling in the workplace; and ultimately, ensuring that every learner achieves their full potential. Visit the e-learning strategy website at: www.dfes.gov.uk/elearningstrategy

The Government also wants there to be easy access for all to the internet and sees e-learning as a way of offering progression and support to learners throughout their lives.
