THE PROJECT
The Maldon-based radio station will work with 24 young people to interview older members of the community to capture their memories of the Great Flood of 1953. They will consider the events in light of current environmental issues and the recent Boscastle and Carlisle floods. They will use artefacts, documents, photographs and archive material held in Burnham Museum and the Essex Record Office and compile a video documentary about their findings as well as a presentation to be given to primary schools in the area.
